Chris André Aadland was raised in Bergen, Norway. After finishing upper secondary school studying art and design at the age of 18 in 2007, he decided to spend a year living in Orlando, Florida. When he moved back to Bergen in 2008 he was inspired to pursue a career as a photographer. He started his studies at Norwegian School of Creative Studies. Along with his studies he also started shooting for a few publications, festivals such as Hove Festival, musicians and the student newspaper to gain work experience and to gain knowledge of the different genres in photography. Graduating with “Best Studentwork” in photography in 2010, he decided to relocate abroad and started studying for a Bachelor Hons degree at Southampton Solent University, UK where he currently resides. At university Chris has become interested in pushing the boundaries of portrait photography in new innovative directions. When he graduates the spring of 2012 he will relocate to London. He often travels to Bergen and are available for work there as well.
